Recently we took a road trip north to Howell. My MIL still owns her home in Michigan and we told her we would head up and check on it. One of the things we used to to when we went up there was go to The Caboose. It’s an ice cream shop that we would always go to when my in-laws lived there. My kids were way excited. We all got an ice cream cone, sat on the bench, talked about when Gma and Gpa lived there. It was a fun night.

Yes it’s true. I let Zoey go to the mall with her friend Niki last week without me being there. I dropped her off at 2pm and she was picked up by Nikki’s dad at 4pm. That gave the two of them, 2 full hours to walk the mall, shop at the stores, and eat. Zoey was so excited to get to go without all of us.

When we go to the mall with is nearly never (about 2 times a year) with take the entire gang. Yep all EIGHT of us get into the car and walk the mall. I am sure is super embarrassment for her and Jack! And me too for that matter. Kids running, babies crying, Daniel not wanting to be there with all the kids, kids complaining- the list can go on and on, but I won’t.

Any way back to Zoey. I had made a deal with her that if she watch Drew when I took Nolan and Lucas and Berkley to the sprinkler park, I would drive Zoey and Nikki to the mall when I got home. I kept true to my promise and drove them there.

Since this was her first going I had to take some photos of them. To my surprise, Zoey didn’t fight with me about take a photo or two. When we got to the mall, I dropped her off at Kohl’s and watch them walk into the store. Just before walking in I rolled down my window and YELLED, yes I YELLED so they both could hear me before walking through the doors, ” Zoey, I love you! Have fun my little peanut!” She turned around and looked at me as if she was going to die of embarrassment. Niki was laughing.

I took off in my minivan laughing like crazy! Gosh I love being a mom!

Miss B already has multiple holes in her, but yesterday on July 3, 2010, We took her to get her ears pierced at the mall.

The lady who pierced them did a great job! She was super funny. As we were getting ready, I busted out my wallet, opened it up and I had some money fall right out of my wallet. This lady, in a oh-so funny way says- ” Don’t be dropping my tip on the floor just yet, honey!!” I busted out laughing! It was funny. I am glad she did say that because I wouldn’t have tipped her. Tipping her didn’t even cross my mind at all. But as I thought about it through out the rest the day, it made perfect sense to me. I am glad I did. It’s wasn’t a huge tip because she really didn’t have any issues but it was a top none the less.

We took her just before her nappy time. She is a happy baby so we knew she wouldn’t be too cranky. She also had a quick cat-nap on the way and remain asleep in the stroller until we got into the store. She woke up happy. Daniel decided to hold her while I filled out the paper work. I was able to get some pretty good photos.

Did she cry? Yes she did. But it wasn’t bad at all. We pierced, she cried. We took pictures, she cried. We put her back into the stroller, gave her a bottle, and all crying stopped.

Since we were at the mall, we decided to let the kids go into a few stores. Total last minute, we ran to Sears to see if there were any openings to get her 6 month pictures taken. I had a $7.99 coupon in my wallet, so that was a plus!! We rode the elevator, escalator, and bought gum balls from the gumball machine. Zoey and Jack found t-shirts for $5 at Aeropostle.

It was a great day. I am so glad I decided to walk away from my messy house and have fun with the kids. Thanks Tamara for reminding me whats important in life!!

Oh yeah, her 7th tooth is in.. (july 7, 2010)

Berkley Senta Hill

6 months old

Weight- 15lbs. 8oz.

Height- 25 inches

Berkley has four teeth with number five and six coming in as we speak. I am pretty confident by the end of our 4th of July weekend, she will have six in total. Four on top and two on the bottom. This little nugget is wanting to eat everything- rice cereal, stage 1 baby foods like green beans, peas, applesauce, squash. She seems to like everything and is always putting things into her mouth. Just this week I fed her cheerios and she seemed to love it. Drew helped me out by dumping the entire box onto her tray, she was very excited about that. I was not.

She laughs and talks all the time. All of the other children can get her to laugh! Just the other day, Lucas had her laughing so hard, I wanted to pee my pants. She does have a scream on her. A few different people this past week even commented to me that they thought and/or assumed it was Drew who was doing the yelling, but I had to tell them it was her. Maybe God gave her a set of lungs to be a professional singer one day..

She sleeps all night but I haven’t had sleeping issues with my children. I guess I have been one lucky duck! She loves bath time. She crawls, not on all fours, just yet, but she does army crawl. If she wants something, she doesn’t have any problems finding her way over to it. She is at the beginning stages of sitting up. I was able to get a few snapshots of this momentous event this week.

When her daddy gets home, her little face just lights up. She loves to jump in the jumper and be in the saucer any chance she can get. Most of the time she plays and jumps and talks away until she falls asleep in them. She is a very happy, relaxed baby who doesn’t cry all to often. However, when she does cry it’s so dang cute I usually take the camera out and try to get a few photos.

She is our little perfect baby! I love her death, and could not imagine my life without her in it.
