targettoilet

I Love Target!!! They have great sales ALL the time. I just bought a pair of slipper shoes for $1.98 for her baby and some baby leggings for $2.98 for my sis-. Who wouldn’t love those amazing deals I got right? Right!

Here’s why I HATE it- Every time I go there I need to poop. Yes I said poop. Its the kind of poop that you have to hold your butt cheeks together and run super duper fast to the toilet which is at the front of the store. The problem with that is I am never at the front of the store when one of my episode hits. I am usually in the way back corner, opposite corner from the bathroom.
I wish they would have bathrooms in both the front and back of the store. I wouldn’t have to run full speed up just to get there. It super sucks when I am with my kids too!! Sometimes its so bad that I have to sit down on the end-cap just to keep it inside me. Seriously, I break and sweat and every thing- it’s horrible!!

Its a LOVE/HATE relationship! I love to go and shop their but I hate it when I have a pooping episode (and its often 95% of the time)
BUT I don’t hate it enough to stop going to the store all together..

If you are constipated, I highly recommend you take a trip to Target, you’ll be sure too let it out while you are shopping. They put something in the air to make a person feel the need to blow out their insides!!!

I got my haircut today!!! It was overdue, way overdue. I tried to get in done in both November and December but Lindsey (my beautician) was super busy. I shouldn’t known that because she is always super busy and the reason for that is because she is the best!  I love her. I have been going to her for years now. I want to say since 2001or 2002. That’s about 7 years.  When she changes locations I change with her. Some might think I am a borderline stalker but she is that amazing.  I take in a picture and she always does exactly what I want. My favorite people to style my hair like are-  Drew Barrymore, Reese Whiterspoon, Natalie Portman, Jessica Alba. I choose to do Jessica Alba this time. My hair is thick and she is the best razor cutter/ hair thinner gal I know.

Here’s a plug for her work and over all greatness–

Lindsey works at HairWorks on Ford rd. between Newburgh and Wayne Rds. She has super great hair too. I think that says a lot if a hairdresser has good hair. Once I went to a hairdresser that had super long (down to her ankles) hair and it was rough looking. At that point I should have walked back out of the salon but I didn’t because I was a chicken to just get up and walk out. SO instead I got a horrible haircut.  I cried for days. Ask Daniel it was bad, real bad!! Okay I am veering off ( I do that often, ask my family). If you Google “Hairworks, Westland Mi, my niece Rachel C. Mlynar will show up on the page right beside the address and tele. number. Rachel also goes to her, hence the photo when you Google it. Rachel has her appointment for her wedding day, May 9. 2009. Rach  loves our beautician.

I try to get my hair done on a day that I am going out on the town. This time around it did not work out that way because its a week night.  Daniel is headed over to his friends house tonight to work on his car and I will be putting the kids to bed single parent style and watching Biggest Loser.

Thanks Lindsey, you are amazing and made my day. Scratch that out, you made my week.

I am feeling like a million bucks!!

bride-wars

Tonight I went to the show. ( I forgot my camera so I was bummed about that)

It was fun! Bride Wars is what we saw hence the picture above! I would recommend it to other females. I’m not sure I would choose to see that movie with my husband. It might be too much of a chick flick but hey, maybe your man is chick flick kind of guy.  Any way, I thought it was a good movie. A funny movie- just what I needed.  Both Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway did a great job!

I need to give a big shout to Melissa, Kristi, Colleen, and Penny for making the night fun. Penny I loved sitting next to you, your laugh was contagious!!  Thank you guys for inviting me..

I am off to bed.  It’s late, very late!

SOLD!!

We are finally through paying on our townhouse in Wayne.  It has been a rough this past 6-7 months paying on something you no longer live in sucks, but its finally finished.  We bought our new home in May and had to pay both our house payment and Westwick every month until December. Seeing your bank statement  each month and have a huge chunk of cash leave that went into an empty 3 bedroom townhouse HURT us financially and emotionally. We both were frustrated at times with one another.  But over all we handled it pretty well.  When it comes to money, I am bit on the stressed side and tight with money. One of my favorite quotes I remember from my father is-

“It doesn’t matter how good the deal is, if you don’t have the money, you don’t have the money”

My parents have always been wise with their finances, never spending above and beyond. They definitely live within their means (almost too well).  I don’t ever remember credit card being used or stresses over how they were going to pay for things.  They lived poor, middle class, and higher than middle class and NEVER did I see them waste their money!  As much as their 6 children joke with them about money and finances, we all hope we are able to be like them one day. They are frugal, and I consider that a good quality.

Westwick treated us well and we are grateful for the 10 years we lived there. It helped us more than people will ever know. We are now into the next chapter of our lives- home ownership!

metallica-logo1

Guess where I went Tuesday night ….

I got 2 tickets to the Metallica concert, at the Joe Louis Arena for Tuesday the 13th…not just any tickets, suite tickets. We rocked in executive suite 62, staring down dead on center stage. I took a good friend Danny Ursum, who at the last minute was finally able to get some one to cover his shift at work.

The Sword open the concert at 7:00 followed by Machine Head at 8:00, I liked The Sword much more than Machine Head. Metallica Finally took stage at 9:20 and played till 11:30. It was amazing. They played some new stuff, and a bunch of old stuff. I heard everything I wanted to hear,  like; Sad but True, Nothing Else Matters, Wherever I May Roam… They closed the concert with Enter Sandman, but of course they followed up with; Die, Die My Darling, So What, and Seek and Destroy during the Encore I have the set list at the bottom of this post.

The pit was insane, I watched a guy jump (with friends help) over the  barricade surrounding the stage, only to fall head first on the cement floor and knock him self out.

It was loud, it was pounding and I had a blast…

….Rock on

About the museum thing I just sent—-

Your first thought might be– Is she crazy, I have little ones?

Okay, Liam could care less now and Noah might act like he doesn’t BUT I promise you that one day he’ll say “Mommy, remember when we went to…. and … happened? It was so funny.” It’ll probably be a memory he or Liam did that was silly maybe even embarrassing for you at the time, but it’ll be a memory. You will smile and be glad you went.

I remember when I had kids your age and I would decide to go an “mothers midweek activity” (LATE of course) and some woman would give a smart @$$ comment like “Glad you could make it” or “Good to see you, what time is it?”

My initial reaction was either to flip them off or tell them off, but I didn’t I just smiled and then felt sorry for myself and cry to Daniel that night. To be honest with you, sometimes I wish I would’ve showed the finger or told them where to go.. :)

Winter sucks here! I am home grown from this state and I hate it! The older I get the worse it gets for some reason. More likely because my bones are getting old. I was just on the phone with a friend in VA that grew up here and I was expressing my true feelings about the snow/weather/cold and how it was going to snow another 100 ft. overnight. I was reminding her that I have to wake up at the butt crack of dawn to shovel out my car and area around so I could get my little ones to school in a timely manner.

I call Daniel all the time to express my feeling about this great state. When I ask “Why do we live here?” he answers, “Because I have a job here” we say goodbye, until the next time I wake up to cold bone chilling house. And how often is that? EVERYDAY!!!

Have a good day!

Senta

PPS- Coats are on clearance at Target.Last night there were some 4/5 in the boy section for $8.47, Your boys might grow out of their warm cozy winter coats before summer hits here in this great state.

Tell, your Daniel, it’s a good investment not a waste of money…

12days

This year some wonderful person/family decided to choose our family to do the 12 days of Christmas. When you have a  large family,  its hard for people to do something like this for them but they chose us and we were and still are very grateful! It was super exciting once we figured it out that it was the 12 days of Christmas (it took a few days)

Day 1-I was on the telephone with blonde bombshell when my doorbell rang. Daniel answered it only to find a 12pk of TOILET PAPER on the door step. It was the kind we use, how awesome is that?  I laughed and said that it had to be my chocolate covered peanut. I thought it was a joke/ nice gesture because I had so many people coming in for the holidays we would need to extra toilet paper.  Daniel joking said it was people who were too lazy to actual toilet paper our home so they just left the paper on our doorstep. If that was the case, I thought it was Dynomite doing it.

3 packages show up on the doorstep

Day 2- The kids quickly answered but didn’t have any luck finding who this person was.  All of the packages had a date to be opened on. Of course that day the kids ripped opened the pk. as fast as they could to find–  11 ART SUPPLIES The kids were so excited! I even let them stayed up past 8pm to draw in them.

Day 3- 10 GIFT BAG ITEMS. The were not so thrilled but I was so very happy about this! It was 4 bags, tissue paper, tape etc. It was bright and color and oh so pretty. I am happy just typing about it!! I am reliving the moment (pathetic, I know..)

Day 4- This was a perfect day to open up ths package. The next day for lunch I was wondering what I was going to fill it up with. I needed to go to the grocery store so when we opened it up to find boxes and  9 boxes of LITTLE DEBBIE TREATS it was a relief. That bought me some time to get to the store. BY the next morning we had 4 different boxes opened. Why? Because each kid wanted to take a different treat in their lunch that day and I let them. Go figure, I was actually a nice mother!  :)

3 packages show up on the doorstep

Day 5- We opened this up to find disposable DINNERWARE. By day 5,  the kids were getting into this and were excited about opening it up. Seeing what someone had done for us was very exciting!  This package had paper plates, bowls, cups, and silverware. This too was a relief because I had 2 parties planned for the holidays. One was a luncheon after Drew’s blessing and the other was our New Years Eve party. Both party had a grand total of 32 people being in my home all at once. All the extra dinnerware was needed!

Day 6- SOCKS! How awesome is that! Each child was so excited to get their very own package of socks. Daniel and I got our own package too. It was 7 packages of socks.

Day 7- We came home from our evening out only to open up a awesome treat-  CHOCOLATE! Who doesn’t love chocolate! Of course it was holiday chocolate keeping with the season. 6 chocolate Santa.  Who ever was doing this knew my family!!

4 packages show up on our doorstep

Day 8- This was a pretty big package and when we shook it up we had no idea. I think one of the kids said “we broke it” :)   We opened up, sit down for this one– CEREAL !! It was good cereal,  Fruit Loops, Lucky Charms, all the cereal kids love!  This might of been Jacks favorite day- he loves cereal!

Day 9- This day couldn’t have come at a better time. I was politely reminding my children we needed to get clean and take bathes, showers, whatever they wanted we just needed to be clean. What did we open that day? 4 containers of BATH FOAM. Of course they all quickly decided to take baths instead of showers. I didn’t mind, whatever helps then to get clean I was happy with. The two younger boys were playing in the bath forever!

Day 10- This too was a day that when we shook the pk. we thought we broke something. Unwrapping we found a box of PLANTERS PARTY PEANUTS. The kind when you open up the box 3 cans are inside? I love love love peanuts. Also this was great because I could put it out on New Years Eve and it was one less item I had to buy for the party I was hosting.

Day 11- I was drawing a blank when writing this blog entry. I can’t believe I drew a blank. Okay, I know now and it was and still is  super awesome!  We opened up 2 PUZZLES! Lucas absolutely positively LOVES doing the US puzzle. He had to have done it at least a dozen times during the winter break.

This package/envelope was slid into our mailbox

Day 12- Okay this might have been the icing on the cake, the creme’ de la creme”, It was a gift certificate for the family to go out to eat at our favorite restaurant RED ROBIN! The kids were shouting with excitement!  We haven’t used it yet. I am holding out until the end of the month when I can’t take cooking and am stuffed up in my house during these long winter months !

We plan on putting smiles on another families face during the holidays of 2009, the kids are very excited to be able to do this for another family.

We never did find out who the wonderful people who chose us to be kind too, that doesn’t happen too much when your family is so big like our huge gang. My kids are very excited to pick a family and do this during the 2009 holiday season. We are truly grateful to them thinking of us this holiday season.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, who ever you are….

drew 2 month

Drew went to the Dr. today for his 2 month checkup. He was 22 1/2″ and weighed in at 11lbs. 2.4oz. The Dr said he was growing wonderfully and his weight is great!! He drinks. 4 oz bottle every 2-3 hours. He wants more but when I give it too him, his belly can’t take it so he ends up spitting it up. He was in the 33-38% for all the measurements. BUT I can’t remember what his head measurements.  He received 1 oral medication and 3 shots- ouch. When I got home I gave him some Tylenol and he slept the afternoon away.
Nolan also went to the Dr for a follow-up visit. They weighed him and he was 43.25lbs. He also needed to get a shot and was not happy about that at all so on the way home I bought him McDonald’s.

thank-you-note-cardI am a total and complete LOSER.  I need to send thank you notes out ASAP!!  I promised myself that I would make sure I was up-to-date on my “thank you’s” to people before Christmas hit!! I was unsuccessful.  It is so bad I have one thank you note to send out to  a certain couple who gave us a kitchen table, chairs and hutch when we moved in! Yes you read that right. This thank you note should have gone out months ago!!  I am so embarrassed.

I plan on writing a bunch next week. My kids also need to write some to their G ma’s, Gpa, aunts, uncles, cousins…   Maybe Sams Club sells boxes of 100 cards The goal is to have myself caught up by Jan 31st- wish me luck!!  I’ll keep you posted
